At SensorComp, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction and provide quality products. To facilitate returns, we have established the following guidelines for our customers in Canada and the USA:
General Return Policy
- All requests for Return Material Authorization (RMA) must be submitted within 15 days of the shipping date and must include the original invoice as proof of purchase.
- All returns must be pre-authorized with an RMA number prior to shipping the product back.
- A return material authorization (RMA) does not guarantee credit; it only confirms that the product has been accepted for evaluation. Final credit will be issued upon inspection at our warehouse.
- Please note that returns are not accepted for made to order, custom finishes and products.
Return and Refund Process
Return Process
- Obtain Authorization and Instructions: Email us at info@sensorcomp.com with the following information:
- Name
- Order Number
- SKU Number
- Product Name/Description
- Quantity to be returned
- Reason for return request
- Receive RMA Form: Our team will provide you with an RMA form, which includes the Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number.
- Return the Product:
- Ship the product to the address specified on the RMA form within one week of receiving the form.
- Include a copy of the RMA form in the package.
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Any shipping fees charged at the time of purchase are non-refundable.
- Shipping Guidelines:
- Returns must include a tracking number to avoid liability for loss during transit.
- Products shipped without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Refund Process
- Refunds will be processed only after the product has been received at our warehouse and passed quality checks.
- Timeline: Allow 10–14 business days for the return to be processed. Refunds are typically issued within 3–4 business days after processing.
- Mode of Refund:
- Credit Card Purchases: Refunds will be issued to the original card used for payment. Processing times may vary depending on the card issuer’s policies.
- Bank Transfers: Store credits will be issued or refunds processed upon receipt of bank transfer details.
- Net30 Orders: A credit memo with a 25% restocking fee deducted will be applied to the relevant invoice or future orders.
- Conditions:
- Returns made after 30 days of delivery, dispatched after one week of receiving the RMA form, or returned in poor packaging, used, damaged, or not in their original packaging will not be accepted.
- If the product is unopened and in its original condition, a refund will be issued less a 25% restocking fee and minus any shipping charges.
A: Stock Items
- Restocking Fee: Listed stock items at the returning branch location will be subject to a 15% restocking charge.
- Note: Stock items may vary between locations.
- Condition:
- Items must be in their original packaging and in new and resalable condition.
- Automation products with broken factory seals will not qualify for returns.
- Items altered or installed will be rejected.
- Defective Goods Exception: Defective goods may qualify for return under the defective material section below.
- Shipping: Returns must be sent prepaid to our receiving department.
- Additional charges may apply if labour or materials are required to make the returned items resalable.
- Exclusions:
- Cut-to-order wire lengths cannot be returned.
- Unauthorized items will be returned to the customer at their expense.
- Returns are not accepted for made-to-order items, custom finishes, or products such as furniture, mirrors, shelving systems, large items, or items that have been opened or installed.
B: Non-Stock Items
- Restocking Fee: Listed but non-stock items are subject to a 25% restocking charge.
- Non-Returnable Items: Items not listed as stock or non-stock can only be returned if the manufacturer accepts the return. An additional 15% charge may apply on top of the manufacturer’s restocking fees.
- Manufacturer’s Policy: All non-stock returns are subject to the manufacturer’s Return Goods Policy, including their restocking charges and terms.
- Approval: Written approval is required before returning project or non-stock materials.
- Exclusions: Made-to-order products or items with custom sizes or finishes cannot be cancelled, changed, returned, or refunded once the order is placed.
C: Cash Sales
- Original Receipt Required: A copy of the original receipt or slip is mandatory for cash sale credits.
- For credit card purchases, the original card slip is required to process the credit.
- Cash Refund Limit: For cash purchases, cash refunds cannot exceed $25.00. Amounts above this limit will be issued via cheque.
- Conditions: All terms and conditions detailed in sections A and B apply to cash sales.
D: Defective Material
- Details Required: Full details of the defect must be provided at the time of return.
- Evaluation: All warranty and defective claims will be evaluated based on the supplier’s policies in effect at the time of purchase.
- Credit or Replacement:
- Credit will not be issued for material that can be repaired.
- Credit, repair, or replacement will be determined after evaluation by SensorComp or the supplier
- Damaged or Incorrect Deliveries:
- Inspect all deliveries immediately upon arrival and note any box damage when signing for receipt.
- Report damaged, defective, or incorrect items within 5 business days by email with photos showing the issue.
- Defective or incorrect products may be returned only after obtaining an RMA and return instructions. SensorComp will arrange pickup for such returns.
- After inspection, defective items will be refunded, repaired, or replaced free of charge. Incorrect items will be corrected and re-delivered.
- E:Made to order/Custom Products
- All made to order products or our standard products in custom sizes or custom finishes are entered the same day in our system and processing starts immediately upon receipt of order and our team starts making drawings and other actions are taken to build to your specifications. This would mean any made to order, custom size and finish items cannot be cancelled, changed, returned, or refunded once an order is placed.
Additional Notes
- Inspection: Upon return, items will be inspected to ensure compliance with our return policy. Items not received in their original, unopened condition may be refused.
- Handling and Delivery Fees: Handling and delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to manufacturing defects or transit damage.
Exceptions
Any exceptions to the above policies require prior approval from a SensorComp Branch, District, Regional, or General Manager.

DETECHTA Inc. and SENSORCOMP SHIPPING AND DELIVERY INFORMATION
Sensorcomp uses commercially reasonable efforts to communicate the most current and accurate product delivery and inventory information, but there is no guarantee to it. As soon as an order is received We start processing the order within one business day. Sensorcomp will use commercially reasonable efforts to ship orders so that they get delivered before or within the estimated delivery window promised at the time of placing the order. The estimated delivery depends on the shipping method selected by the customer.
SHIPPING METHODS
Currently we offer two shipping methods
- Standard Shipping & Rush Shipping
The delivery dates are estimates only, and Detechta will not be liable for any damage, loss, or expense incurred by Client if we fail to meet the specified delivery dates. There could be delays in delivery due to reasons beyond our control, such as delayed flights, severe weather conditions, pandemics, natural disasters, strikes or inaccurate delivery scans.
Please note that Rush Shipping is a non guaranteed 10 business days delivery. When you place an order with rush delivery as a shipping method, we prioritize your order in the order processing queue and we make all efforts to roll out your order from our facility in 1-4 business days ,transit time might take between 1-6 days depending on the location from where we shipped your order. Please note that Rush and Handling Fee cannot be refunded if we could not deliver your order within 10 business days. We are not liable for any loss, damage or any other expense incurred in anticipation that order will be delivered within 10 business days by selecting a rush fee option.
